 Closed Cell polyurethane foam is among the most efficient insulating materials commercially available. R Values of closed cell foam can exceed R-6 per inch. In addition to the excellent insulating properties, closed cell performs as a highly effective air and moisture barrier. It has a perm rating of approximately 1 at a 2-3 inch application depth. One additional benefit of closed cell foam is that the rigid nature of closed cell foam has been proven to provide improved structural rigidity to structures.
